To understand Lysten’s debut album, you need to close your eyes and imagine: Norway, with its bitter cold and mountainous landscapes. A cabin, lost in the middle of nowhere, transformed into a studio and a refuge. And up there, ‘far from the noise of the world, there was nothing left to mask the questions’. The aim of this journey? To reflect on the end of an era, but above all to collect sounds: the sound of footsteps in the snow, wood creaking, the wind howling, ferries in the distance, a fire crackling. A priceless wealth of sound to be twisted, distorted, stretched and reverberated, as if to ward off vertigo.
